Authority

Sharing your account

You can give other people access to your Jacana Energy account.

This can be useful if you have other people who help pay your electricity, or if you need support in understanding your bill.

If you do decide to give someone access to your account, you’ll need to decide how much control they have.

Enquiry Only – Gives someone the ability to make payments, general enquiries, and basic changes to your account. This is suitable for most people. If you’re unsure on how much access someone should have, choose “Enquiry Only”.

Financially Responsible – Gives someone broad access to your account. They will also be jointly responsible for payments. This is only suitable for people that share responsibility for the finances in your home (usually a spouse or family member) or business.

Please note that no matter who you give authority to, the account holder is ultimately liable for any debt or late payments.
