Whether you're installing a new meter, upgrading to solar, or making changes to your existing setup, connecting to Jacana Energy is a simple 3-step process.
Step 1: Contractor submits Basic Connection Form to Power and Water
Your electrical contractor or solar installer will submit a Basic Connection Form to Power and Water for review.
Here’s how it works:
- Submission: The contractor/installer submits the form to Power and Water.
- Review: Power and Water checks the application to ensure all technical requirements are met.
- Notification: Once accepted, Power and Water notifies your contractor/installer.
An accepted Basic Connection Form means your contractor has permission to connect your new meter or solar PV system to the network.
Step 2: Contractor provides you with the accepted form
Once Power and Water has reviewed the form, your contractor or installer should notify you and send you a copy of the accepted Basic Connection Form.
This form contains the technical information Jacana Energy needs to complete your electricity connection.
Step 3: Submit your connection request to Jacana Energy
With your accepted form in hand, you're ready to get connected.
To submit your connection request, you can:
- Use our online connection form to upload your details including the information on your accepted Basic Connection Form; or
